If you are a middle or high school student we would love for you to join us this summer on a mission trip to Johnson City, TN. Our main objective during the week is to serve the children at a VBS at Big Spring Church of Christ. Not only will be serving at a VBS at night, but during the day we will go to different para church organizations to serve such as, a food bank, a children’s home, a homeless shelter, and more. If you are looking to deepen your walk with Jesus and have an amazing experience you really don’t want to miss this week.
To be considered a trip participant both registration and non-refundable deposit is required. To pay you may write a check or use PayPal. If you use PayPal select on “Student Ministry Event”. CIY move is for high school students (incoming 9th graders-outgoing seniors) this summer! We hope you can join us as we head to Salisbury University located in Salisbury, MD. CIY is an amazing week that you will remember forever. It’s a week of worship, friends, and tons of fun. The cost is $420 (includes registration, housing, and some meals). Students are responsible for bringing $$ for meals while we travel (approximately 2-3 meals). There are only 10 spaces available this year, so sign-up early! To register, complete the MWSM Form and CIY Form below to register. A $130 deposit is due by February 29th at the time of registration (on paypal please select student ministry event and enter amount). The remaining balance is due by May 5th. Please feel free to do check, cash or paypal (see payment button below).

After the Worship Service, all adults in their 20s and 30s are invited to the Cafe for a charcuterie lunch, fellowship, games.
All ages are welcome to an Easter egg hunt on Saturday March 30th, 9-11 AM. Egg hunts will happen every 15 minutes!!!! While you wait to hunt down eggs, activities and games will provide extremely egg-citing fun. This is a come and go event, feel free to come anytime and stay as long as you’d like. We hope you can join us!

Come help with raking, pruning, mulching, and other tasks to help beautify the grounds for Spring. Bring your rakes, hand tools and gloves.
Everyone is invited to a focused time for prayer. Meet in the Sanctuary for corporate prayer and instructions, then visit various prayer stations throughout the building to pray as families or individuals for various ministries of the church. Then reassemble in the Sanctuary for a time of scripture, praise and prayer, followed by fellowship in the Lobby. This is for the entire church family, all ages.
Get Inspired! Please join us for a day-filled with service, worship, discipleship, fellowship, games and more! This retreat is from 8:30am-4:00pm on February 24th at Manor Woods. The cost of this event is $10. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. You may give payment in the church lobby to Amy Haron this month leading up to the event.
Families of elementary kids we hope you can join us for nerf and nachos following the worship service. Please let us know if you are attending so we can plan for food. Thank you!
Hey parents of 4th and 5th graders! We hope you and your child can come to this awesome opportunity called Super Start! put on by CIY. This is a mini conference for preteens (4th & 5th Graders). We are so excited about this and we hope you are too!

Cost: $215, will cover both parent/child. This includes hotel (each family group will have their own room), breakfast, trampoline park pass, and registration. Participants will also need to cover for their meals for lunch. One parent must attend with their student(s). Registration deposit of $100 due by January 7th and remaining balance by January 18th.
You will have to fill out a CIY Medical Form. This will be provided via email after you register.

To launch our new Church Leadership initiative, called "TEAM OF LEADERS", we are offering an information meeting following the Worship Service on Sunday, January 28. The meeting is designed for anyone interested in learning more about the various ministries and opportunities for service at Manor Woods in 2024, and how each of us can get plugged in and play a role under our new leadership structure. After the meeting in the sanctuary, everyone is invited to adjourn to Faith Hall for a wonderful Potluck Fellowship Lunch. All attending are asked to bring a dish to share on our potluck buffet.
If you are a middle or high school student come join us for the winter retreat at Indian Lake Christian Camp January 1-14. It will be a fun weekend with engaging worship sessions, bonfires, hot chocolate, slingshots, archery, and more! The cost of the weekend is $95 (includes all meals Friday-Sunday) and money is due January 7th. You will also need to fill out the forms below. We hope you can come!
Packing List: Sleeping bag/blanket/sheet, pillow, towel, toiletries, change of (warm) clothes for 2 days, coat, hat, shoes, Bible, and pen.
*Groups will be in lodges and MAY end up lodging with another group if our group does not meet the size requirement to fill a room.

Join us for a Christmas Eve service to celebrate the Savior! One holy night, in the small town of Bethlehem, God’s promised Messiah was born. That night changed the world, and nothing would ever be the same. Join us on Christmas Eve at 5:30 PM to experience a Christmas service for the entire family! We encourage you to invite friends, family, and neighbors. All ages are welcome!
Would your child like to make some fun handmade gifts to give to a family member or friend this Christmas? We hope your child can come on December 9th. This event is free for elementary children. There are two time slots, either 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM or 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Spots will be limited. Please note that this is drop-in and not drop-off. If you feel you may need to drop-off your child, please reach out as soon as possible. Parents you are more than welcome to stay around in our cafe to grab some coffee, hot chocolate, and snacks (we do have wifi). Upon arrival your child will need to be checked in. If you have any questions contact Mavryn, our event coordinator. We hope your child can make it!
On Saturday, December 2, the Seniors Ministry will have a Christmas party potluck lunch! This event will take place at noon in the Manor Woods Cafe. As well as a lunch item, please bring a small gift ($10 or less) for a White Elephant gift exchange, or use this as an opportunity to give something "unique" you have that you're ready to part with. There will be other fun surprises too! We hope you can make it!
Stepping Stones Shelter’s mission is to provide emergency shelter, food, and case management services to families experiencing homelessness to help them move from crisis to stability quickly and in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. You can help support Stepping Stones by donating items from their urgent needs list. You may drop off your donations in the church lobby from November 19 through December 3. The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations. You can support this ministry by filling a shoebox, donating supplies, or making a financial contribution. Please visit the table in the Lobby this Sunday to pick up supplies and information about Operation Christmas Child. Drop off your filled shoeboxes or donations on November 5, 12, or 19.
The Seniors Ministry is taking a field trip to The Museum of the Bible in DC on Friday, November 3! We will be taking the church bus, leaving from church at 9:30 AM and leaving the museum to return at 3:00 PM. Group admission cost is $14 (minimum of 10 needed to get that price). Trunk or Treat is a safe, free, and family-friendly event for the whole community! Kids (and adults) can wear costumes and trick-or-treat by walking from car to car in the church parking lot. Please consider helping out by decorating a trunk, donating candy, and/or bringing your friends to the event!
With a theme of “Big Faith,” this all-ages worship experience will give families an opportunity to dive into stories from the Bible of people who faithfully followed God and experienced His power and His promises being fulfilled. Families will explore what it means to walk faithfully with God through any circumstance they encounter and will learn that He always keeps His promises. We hope to see your whole family on Sunday, October 29, at 10:30 AM, in the elementary classroom!

We minister monthly to residents of Cadia Healthcare by singing hymns, giving a devotional message, and visiting with the residents.
Meet at Cadia Healthcare: 4011 Randolph Road, Silver Spring, MD 20902.
Used shoes in any condition will be collected through October 8 to benefit Rukundu International. The shoes are used to create small businesses in developing countries so families can earn a living. The families resell the shoes for people to wear, and Rukundo International earns funds for every pair collected. In addition, reusing unwanted footwear keeps shoes out of landfills. Please bring your donations to the bin in the church lobby.
