With very few exceptions, Church of Christ at Manor Woods does not permit use of our building for weddings, unless one of our own pastors is involved in the services. Planning and execution of your wedding are the responsibility of the couple and/or their families. Submission of an application does not guarantee approval of the use of the facility. Performance of Weddings will always be determined at the discretion of the pastor who would be performing the ceremony. Premarital Counseling is required prior to the wedding. Request for Use of our Facility will NOT be processed unless ALL contact information is provided.
If the application is approved, a staff member will contact you to schedule a series of counseling sessions with our pastor.
You will also be assigned a Wedding Liaison. The Wedding Liaison is NOT a Wedding Planner—you are responsible for planning and executing all plans concerning your wedding, including arranging for set-up and clean-up of all areas of the church that are being used. The job of the Wedding Liaison is to maximize effective communication between you and the church, while preventing the administrative staff’s time from being impacted. The Wedding Liaison will answer any questions you have regarding what can and cannot be done in the building, will be available to assist with your wedding set-up preparations, and will follow-up to be sure areas are cleaned and reset afterward. The Liaison will be on hand to help execute various details and lend support to the bridal party on the wedding day. The Wedding Liaison will contact you to schedule a time to initially discuss your plans and schedule additional meetings that may be necessary. (If you want assistance with actually planning and executing the details of the wedding or help with any details that do not include the church building, you are at liberty to negotiate directly with the Liaison to determine any added dimensions of the job and the extra compensation for that service.)
***Special Notes regarding Onsite Reception Onsite receptions are considered only when the bride or groom’s immediate family is an active member of CCMW.Planning and execution of your reception are the responsibility of the couple and/or their families.
